Of course we talked to some of YOU on zoom and the hotline, a brand new City of the Day, a double header dopp' o' the mornin', and we acknowledged the legendary career of Hoda Kotb. Uncharacteristically mean-spirited, I thought (though I understand he's gotta keep the momentum of the show going.)

A good example of the basic low level militancy (backed with facts) every worker should have. Tim handled it well. Piff was great. Very amusing episode. Looking forward to the piece in the failing NYT (Tim you should switch subscriptions to the FT).

The goofs from the trin and Matt captaining everything really put everything in a good light, for me. Hope they liked it, too! As for ignoring the Zoom call...I'm actually fine with it. even as a newer viewer, I think I have a slightly informed stance. A big reason why I've been a huge fan of Tim being gracious with all the calls this year was because I was in the hot seat myself with the Gary Gulman ep (the DVT joke). Fully expecting to be shot down. And actually looking forward to it, since I think it's funny, and was kind of the norm last year. So I crafted a (rambling) hook. Had a goal. and delivered it! No, I didn't get to deliver my poems, but got a gentle redirection that paved the way for a fun way to interact with the show (also: cute poem yesterday!) Would I rather have been ignored or dropped? I say ignored, since I would be able to see I'm losing ground--and have the chance to adapt on the spot with another hook, if I feel like it. It's not as abrupt as a blue pig, anyway (which still hasn't been used to stop a call, I might add. just for Doug to dance with 😆) TL;DR Brevity is the soul of wit, and I think ignoring a call after it trails off is an awkwardly funny way to push for wit. We could learn a lot from the late, great Phil Braun. He gets shot down so often--and just rolls with it! "And we love him. We love Phil Braun. Everyone loves him." (Petition for Tim to do a Cheeto impression in honor of our un-excommunicated hero)

Will have to look into it. Unfortunately Patreon doesn't have a good way of organizing anything and there's no way to go back and add old episodes backdated. That's why the RSS is so much cleaner. I'm tapping into the RSS apple podcast feed and its nice to select 1st episode and start from begging.. I do really enjoy the Video episodes. and i hope you can take a second look at the old episodes and make it as well named and archived as current episodes.. thanks!
