My brother in Christ, was 2020 your first election? Are you just now learning that politicians tell people what they want to hear to get votes? Do not know how government works? Presidents can't really do anything unless they have a supermajority of Congress, of which Biden never had one. We're lucky to have political gridlock currently. And I'm not caping for Biden. I hate the guy, and didn't want to vote for him in 2020. He was the last person I wanted as the nominee, second to maybe spoiler candidate Bloomberg. But once again, because of this beautiful rigged democracy we live in, I am once again forced to vote for the lesser evil candidate, which I increasingly begrudgingly do. And if you think Biden's handling of the war in Gaza is abysmal, how do you think Donald "Muslim Ban" Trump will handle it?

Yes, I am more worried about the concrete and clearly defined plan to replace government workers with Trump loyalists, dismantle and/or privatize several very important government agencies like NOAA and the NWS, end any sort of climate change discourse/action within the government, end protections for minorities and LGBT, etc., than I am Middle East Tragedy: 2024 Edition. But you are, of course, allowed to be worried about multiple things at the same time.
