291. Christian Hansen & Zachary Treitz - American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders (Audio)
Added 2024-04-04 21:51:08 +0000 UTCIt's no conspiracy that this week's show was a smashing success with special guests the Octopus Murder Boys, aka Zachary Treitz and Christian Hansen, in studio to talk all about their hit Netflix docuseries American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders. Not to mention, an exclusive interview with former president Mr. T's son Don Jr., and lots of YOU on zoom and the hotline. PLUS we played Doug's Movie Band Mixture game, Phil Braun called in to tell us about his new job on SNL, and we got in the weeds on what conspiracies might be next for Zach and Christian to uncover.
The first official GAME NIGHT of 2024 is happening this SATURDAY 4/6 at 6pm PT (9pm ET) just for YOU patrons! Keep an eye out for an exclusive YouTube link and Zoom room link back here on the Patreon later that day.

Hey I dm’ed you guys about this in insta. Figure I have a better chance here as a Patron. I clipped a tiny part of the Recs segment where Christian touts his classic tee. I sent it to my company and they said we need permission to use since it’s behind a paywall. What’s the rec for this? Peace and love

2024-04-08 17:27:10 +0000 UTCI totally get that, I have ADD and involuntarily interrupt people all the time, want to finish their sentences, etc. I just feel Tim overdoes it in these situations where someone is literally there to talk about their stuff. Also my social anxiety kicks in and makes me fear that his interviewees might find it rude, which makes listening a bit uncomfortable sometimes. The more I think about it, maybe I'm just projecting my own shortcomings and anxieties and the show is fine as it is.

2024-04-06 20:43:51 +0000 UTCTim interrupting is literally why I listen. It's catharsis for the impatient.

2024-04-05 23:15:41 +0000 UTC@OHL: But I love this show and want it to be as good as it can be. Shouldn't the show, and it's makers, be able to evolve?
Aaron
2024-04-05 23:08:27 +0000 UTCI actually had the capability to do this on my show Working Hours, and it worked quite well.
Phil Braun
2024-04-05 22:42:19 +0000 UTCmaybe watch another show instead of this one?
Tim Heidecker
2024-04-05 21:19:36 +0000 UTCCan you give Matt or maybe Doug the ability to mute Tim? It's so uncomfortable listening to the show sometimes because if an interviewee pauses even for half a second, Tim interrupts. I'm sorry Tim but it makes the show worse. I get avoiding dead air, awkwardness or letting people drone on, but this is just way too much
