Cold Medicine is OUT! Here's the deal
On Tuesday, Devendra Banhart asked me to play a few songs that night at a star studded charity show at the Lodge Room here in Los Angeles. I asked Ellie to join me to sing some of our heartbreakers. But when i picked up the guitar to practice, this funny, sad, but NON AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL song started coming to me.
We played a rough version of it that night, and the next day I did an Instagram live and played some of it. Will Maxwell, who works at this great studio in Glendale called Silent Zoo was watching and reached out about working on the track with me. He even sent me a demo of what he was thinking it could sound like. I loved it. The studio wasn't available so Will came over Thursday night and we bashed it out in my garage, just the two of us. A really fun way to end the year!
