Doug's Tour Diary Day 15: Boston and Silver Spring

I used to think Boston was mid but the more I go there the more I like it. Lots of bundled up, miserable people wearing pea coats trudging across cold brick roads... it's old timey and charming!

First day, so I had time to meet my friend Big for lunch. He runs Fancy Lad Skateboards and he makes really fun videos. We ate at a healthy place called Life Alive then walked around and looked at skate spots.

We gotta talk about this bizarre painting that was in the hallway of my hotel. It looks like a businessman who is about to snap and jump onto the train tracks while listening to a crypto podcast or something. Or a happy man on his way to work?

The show was right across from Fenway Park, that was cool to see up close.

Found a sticker that says Doug in the moog font. I want one, what is it?!

Boston is a comedy town, my set went great. Dan Curry (head writer of EAS) joined the crew to promote his n Eric's new book, which I did contribute a paragraph to.  My friend Chip Rascal, who is a balloon master, made a Kraft Punk Balloon for the show.

For the first time, we got a photo of the whole crew, albeit blurry.

After the show, JP and Mike saw me having a late night bite with my friends and they took a selfie with me from outside the restaurant. The sneaky bastards!

The crowd in Silver Spring was a bit heckly and brightly lit, not my favorite, but folks were giving me big compliments afterwards anyway. Also, this leg is the debut of my new sampler and after a month off, it was a little tricky to get back in the swing of things but the shows are good.

Finally, I found an unclaimed gift bag backstage so I grabbed it. Inside was a sinister thing called TOXIC BOMB SUPER. Major score! Check out the "instructions."

Don't mess with me or you'll get blasted. I'm excited for Philly tonight!

PLEASE try out the Toxic Bomb Super on OHL Dougg, I am begging you.

The hotel art looks like a Radiohead video still.

Hekkmart

that hotel art sets the bar high for weird/eerie art this leg of the tour 🤨 Have a good show! Stay warm.
