I'm about to get on a plane this morning, headed to Cincinnati, sorta. Well, that's where the plane will take me after I stop in Denver to get on a new plane. Then I'll rent a car from AVIS and drive about an hour to somewhere called Mason, OH where I'll check into a hotel. The whole journey will take me well into the evening. Why?
Well on Monday I'm doing a small part in a David Gordon Green Indie movie! I'm doing one day, then flying back home on Tuesday. Then I will make this journey again in the new year for a few more days of shooting. I probably shouldn't say too much about the movie except my part will likely be forgettable.
Then folks... THEN... I will come back, have a few days to prepare for... ON CINEMA SEASON 14. Yep we're shooting next weekend. We've spent the last several weeks meeting, writing and prepping for another batch... Lots of holes to dig ourselves out of and new depths of narcissism, pettiness, and stupidity to explore. We also have a short documentary coming in a few weeks, exclusive to The Hei Network. If you haven't caught up, I'd highly suggest doing so soon, because the new season is gonna come at your fast... and right now on Hei, there's a highly stupid short series Gregg's produced called Movie Birthdays that's really quite insane.
Not a terrible way to end the year. A year on which I should start reflecting upon! Does anyone remember, I used to have a Tumblr account (I guess I probably still do) and I would try to do an end-of-the-year recap? I'll aim for that over the next few weeks... all my highlights in one place.
Very excited about the successful launch of Tim Fest yesterday. The 2 Day passes sold out very quickly and single days are doing very well, considering it's for an event 3 months from now. I'm sure people out of state are having family meetings about whether they should make the trek or not... Maybe we should have announced a few days before tickets went on sale to give some time to consider this major life decision.
Anyway, now the stress and anxiety of actually putting that show together begins! And has anyone noticed that Tim Fest weekend happens the weekend AFTER Oscar Night? Gonna be one hell of a March for me and the team.

It HAS to be rough for him getting a bad rap over messing with peoples beloved franchises like Halloween and the Exorcist. Pineapple Express is one of the all time classic stoner movies. Did everyone watch US.? Not as good as Get Out or NOPE but Tim is perfect in it. Jordan Peele keeps hitting it out of the park. Oh! Speaking of horror directors, do you like fucked up movies? Did ya love Beau is Afraid? My rec is everyone should look up and watch ALL of Ari Asters pre Hereditary short film, they are all on archive.com for free. They are absurd surreal comedies.
