Doug's Tour Diary Day 10: Austin

Austin by far is the best city in Texas I’ve been to. Always pretty fun and it’s got a funky vibe that you know I like. The locals seem to complain about the recent influx of new residents and high prices though. Hey if your city is cool, people will want to move there. Should have kept it weird!

Before the show, I went to lunch with Eric and he lost his voice so he had to communicate via phone.

We played at “The Far Out Lounge,” which is a killer outdoor venue. The crowd was extra rowdy and lots of them dressed up.

My hotel had some hilariously half assed Halloween decorations. Plus, my smoke detector was wrapped in plastic. Maybe the fools that stayed there before me were blasting cigs?

That’s about it, looking forward to catching up on sleep and game night tonight!

My wife (who is 8 months pregnant) and I had a blast watching your set, Doug. We almost got vertigo from how edgy your jokes were! And the tunes were absolutely bumpin'.

Colin N.

Where did you and eric eat?

Nathan123

Oh! You guys are going to be in grand rapids next sunday. I somehow missed that when i checked the tour dates a few weeks ago.

Zach M

We'll be in Detroit next week. Too far?

I once had a plastic bag over the smoke detector in my hotel room (it happened a few hotels in a row). When I told the front desk, he said I was being a little selfish by bringing it up 🤣

Jeff Shirley

Can you guys extend the tour one more stop and do a final show in Kalamazoo MI?

Zach M

I’m glad Doug is getting to spend lots of quality time with Eric Andre, strengthening their friendship, securing the foundation for more strong comedy for years to come. Four amazing comedy minds on this tour, Eric Andre, Doug, Major Entertainer and JP Incorporated! And they’re all musicians. If the four of them put out a single or an album, what would it sound like? Eric on bass, Doug on drums and drops, all 4 on vocals. JP on powerpoint, Major Entertainer on hook composition and extras. This is like a Traveling Wilburys super-group! Epic potential! The band could be called The Four Whoresmen Of The Apocalypse or something like that

The way Norm looks on that t-shirt is hilarious

It’s been quite the tone shift bouncing from Doug’s to Tim’s posts the past couple weeks

Thank you for California-ing my Texas, Doug!
