Tour Diary - Part 29

Driving past the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest. I stopped here on my first trek across country in 1996, driving in a Ford Econo-Line Van with Eric, on our way to Los Angeles for an internship program...

Yesterday - Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Route 66. A truck stop and our day room at a Hampton Inn. Took a swim in their nicely maintained indoor pool.

I finally broke down and had a 6 inch tuna from Subway, at the truck stop. Not bad!

For dinner, we walked about a half mile to a really good Mexican place.

Then another dip and a soak in the hot tub.

We needed some dopamine, so I played the gang a few of my favorite Awesome Show clips and some Earles and Jensen pranks. We laughed and I smoked a little pot. why not.

We'll stop in Flagstaff for the day, and I'm hoping there'll be more to do. maybe a little hike or something. Then we'll wake up tomorrow outside JP's house, where we'll all grab out stuff and go our separate ways. I'll just get home in time to catch the kids in a play their summer drama camp is putting on. I'll come up so fast from this that I'm likely to get The Bends.
