Fred Armisen (Episode 263)

Comments

Love all of Tim's points. These "comedians" just don't get it. Stick to ONE thing, quit dabbling in "everything".

Gittyhorse

Abso lutely fantastic!

Olle Karlsson

You're at the height of your insufferable self, Tim—brilliant

Marika Giacinti

Not just you :\

Ricky Possum

My clip sender coupon code didn't work. Can anyone else confirm this too or is it just me?

Hum

An all-world effort by Fred to not break at several moments.

Chad

oh so very brilliant lol, fucking love it

Timothy Mclean

Incredible

Jimmy P

SPOT ON- Talking over the guest and interrupting / not letting them finish, belittling them, complains about everything new and different, pointless foul language, talking crap about things he hasn’t seen. AMAZING!

Biannual Beats

I haven't had the pleasure of watching what this is spoofing, but I don't think the discomfort was lost on me. Tim and Fred are so masterful at staying in their roles and egging the other on. I would love more of this with other comedians just to see what would happen and where it goes. Loved the On Cinema-esque feel. Great job!

lilula9

Controversy creates........conversation

Tim Erbes

It's a (tremendous) parody of B*ll M*her's incredibly tedious "Club Random" podcast

Seth

I have no idea what this is taking the piss out of. Is this another podcast ?

Travis M Kemble

We do have barbie now. And it's not good frankly. We need more bear pokers to take a stand. Frankly

Richard

I use it to send clips from Rosanne to ABC and all the ad geniuses responsible for the very sad sitcom, Connors to lett them know that the majorly of white people are very Sad about their decision

Richard

so, so good

alexander kaye

Fred is a good guest, quite lovable.

Joseph Allen

I totally always said they were poking the bear and my friends were like “no”. Thanks, Tim.

Mark Rossbach

It’s going to get much worse here for you. Hang in there.

Mark Rossbach

This is so fucking funny. Ugh I wish they’d do something like this quarterly!! Great stuff!!!❤️❤️❤️

Dillon Myrick

Anyone been using Clip Sender? Thinking of trying it

Christian

Many, many lol's. A miserable interview.

Steve Clark

Why is Fred being so aggressive? Tim’s just trying to say his free speech and Fred keeps silencing him completely

Travis F. Welch

theres one instance near the end where Fred looks away off into the distance as if he's checking to see where the door is and cant get out of there fast enough. so subtle and so funny. insanely good overall. expect it to blow up.

Matt James

This was spectacular. I laughed so hard through the whole thing. Love the dedication, and set recreation, all the details!

Michael Longley

“Demented”

hagclaims8

This is one of the funniest goddamn things I’ve seen in a while.

Reed Hapke

"assholes and dimwits"

Carol A Dukes

The master of parody strikes again!!

Peter Brown

An original painting by a California based artist. Will not reveal where it was purchased or how much it cost! -Matt

Tim Heidecker

This killed me. So good

Brad Sucks

haha that Dekkar liquor

Brandon Fasse

This was perfect, I can only imagine the amount of backlash this will receive. We need more shows like Portlandia to poke the bear again haha.

Steven Meltzer

I wrote a show description based on the show descriptions of Club Random on the Podcasts app: Tim Heidecker and Fred Armisen on Bill Hader, if SNL is taped, how this is a clove cigarette, why there will be no more movies in 2024, rules on what characters comics are allowed to portray, Portlandia’s takedown of the woke hive mind, flying on airplanes, why Fred thinks he has the authority to believe in God, and SO much more, watch to the end!!!!!!!

hagclaims8

Tim wasn't afraid to really "go there"

Lady J.J. Armes

Love when Tim is getting all sprawled out and Fred has to keep his feet away from Tim’s.

hagclaims8

This was a hard watch.

Alleb Grzinic

Decor and camera shots were a nice touch

Calum Alexander

I enjoyed what Tim said about comedy. So true.

Boogie

This is incredible!

Mike Gibbons

Amazing

Shane Foley

this was sooo random!

creg

This was amazing 🤩 Lol the camera angles

Michael Vaughn Green

Nailed it. Hit every point of weirdness that is modern Maher and Club Random. The set. The aggrievement. Fred navigating the intoxicated aggressiveness of his interviewer. I don't know how popular Club Random is, but I hope this goes at least as viral as the Rogan Thanksgiving thing.

Richard

Cried at the ice chomping.

Daeli

Tim, you just don't miss.

Adam Leslie

This is a masterpiece.

David Jungers

holy shit im just watching today’s office hours and this is so amazing!! again tim gets it spot on! i remember being really into maher back in the obama era but yeah he’s gone off the deep end now. i haven’t been able to watch real time for a while but after it being mentioned so much on ohl i finally decided to check it club random and oh boy is maher a mess. anyways bravo tim and fred! completely nailed it!!

Matthew van Dam

this conversation was EPIC!!! i'm gonna have to watch it again with some whiskey and a cigar when the wifey is away!!

Bob L.

Tim getting a lot of praise — and rightly so — but Fred absolutely killed this too. Brilliant from both of them.

Scott

Where did y'all find that board of decorative numbers in the background? One of my many favorite details of this masterpiece

Joe Legzz

This is some Grade A comedy right up there with On Cinema and Phil Braun

Bryan Hamill

So funny! A top shelf spoof

Cal

amazing character work Tim!

Johnnee

Amazing

Adam

please tell me you have outtakes

ross muron

Thank you for this but I want more people to see it. It’s too good

Jesse

Tim wearing those glasses is my new favorite Tim character

Ian L

The C and D camera angles are tooooo much

Di Drew

Fantastic! Tim and Fred together are the best!

Tim

Hahahahaha

J. Swirsky

refreshing

shrimpboy

lmfao spot on maher

T

Really insightful to hear Fred’s perspective on a lot of sh*t (can I say that in this Patreon or will the thought police arrest me?)

Shane Dudfield

Refreshing to hear 2 comedians talking about this woke mind-virus that’s been going around! Great takes as usual T!

3E

Gosh, this is glorious.

Harrison

phenomenal—enjoy it before they pull this down and add it to the fire

zalright

Is Tim wearing Fred's glasses?

Kyle Sikorski

HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING

Joe Legzz

How did Fred manage to stay upright in his chair?!

Robert Van Vranken

Great angles!

Goose

You can't say stuff like this anymore!

Mark Bisi

The drink glasses awkwardly placed at the guest’s feet while later Tim kicks them killed me.

BO BRICKS

*1* •2• *3* FOUR =5=

Amy

no masturbation inspiration testimonials? club RANDOM isn't afraid of being interpreted as raunchy.

Jacob Whiting

Did I see the Dekkar logo on one of the bottles?

Matt Barnes

YES YES YES YES

J. Swirsky

“Not Hersheys kisses” got me 😂

hayley deherrera

This was perfection 👌🏼

Natty Norts

Tim done did it again. What a marvel!

Brian Houdlette

Please do more!

Eileen Gergerian

This is amazing

MEKKO HARJO

Another grand slam podcast parody

Adam

Totally agree that Bill Hader is great because he does impressions and characters.

Brian Schenk

The lighting constantly fluctuating was 🤌

William Riley

The moment tim started adjusting in his seat and taking up freds foot space i screaaaaamed. too too funny. perfection!

abi harding

I would pay an ungodly amount of money to see the outtakes of this S-tier content.

Tim Stahl

Tim, the most awkward podcast I’ve ever listened to was Bret Easton Ellis hosting Fred and Carrie. Ellis did a 20 minute opening and only at the end did it become apparent that Fred and Carrie had silently been sitting there live as he delivered it. Please ask him about that experience.

Francisco Ferreiro

How about that Barbie movie?

Mandrews

The Ghost of John Candy would like a meeting with you, Tim.

Thomas Jerome Newton

This is incredible. These OHL specials should win multiple awards

Dan Mulcahy

Pub Fandom.

Francisco Ferreiro

Dreyfuss: take notes on how to sit in a chair without sliding

Mandrews

Well Hader's good. Hader's good at what he does, because he does impressions, and he does characters, and he can do a lot. And now he's acting. He's brilliant. I'd love to have him on the show.

Strerve McAlvoy

This rivals the Rogan parody. I'm watching at work in tears lol.

Brian Floyd

The idea that someone rehearsed and purposefully placed the cameras for those horrible angles makes me so happy

Lyndon Beckner

This is absolutely fucking perfect.

Toby Poole

It was interesting just how little Fred knows about the current climate out there, TBH – very wild to see!

Joseph Teegardin

Amazing!!! And of course after it ended the algorithm loaded up an ep of Club Random. A seamless transition!

Chuck BB

Tim's insistence that Portlandia was an attack on the woke agenda was just one of the many icings on this cake.

Nathanael Sherman

Sending this to my dude friends w/ clip sender.

SNIE

Haha finally!

KatieMoe

HAHAHAHAHA

bugboy9

Lol this edit made Fred look exactly like Jemaine Clement
