Boy, Monterey is pretty! nice little day, walking down to the fisherman's wharf, which felt like a much more reasonable version of the San Francisco one,.. after the show, we walked back there and found hundreds of Sea Lions chillin....
The sounds they were making were cracking us up! what the hell are they moaning about, rolling all over each other. weirdos.
The show was great.... not PACKED, but everyone there was fully into it. I tried some new stand-up stuff and it all worked pretty great. some new songs mixed into the music set are really making me happy and keeping my brain engaged.... I held back just an inch or two during the stand up when it comes to screaming my head off, to preserve my voice and keep my stamina up for the long haul and i don't think anything was lost. I just have to focus on using the voice more efficiently.
It's great to be back on the bus with the Very Good Band and new crew member Luke (OUR very own OHL Luke) doing sound... and Heather doing merch. I don't know Heather well yet but she seems nice and professional and should gel well with the gang.
OK that's all for now but I'll make this Diary a thing and post more frequently than just the Saturday Blog if Capt. Carlin is ok with that!
