sorry i missed you yesterday! I was working. Fun show! I saw a few comments that people were disappointed in how much attention we paid to Frankie. I hear ya, I thought it was a nice blend and I worked on bringing him more into the discussions and I think he was funny and we got there after some warming up but yea, I should have given more time to talking about his great new show This Fool, and his other work. I blew it on his name after working on it before the show but that's just me having trouble with words. In fact, my On Cinema Tim is just a little closer to me when it comes to pronunciation. On that show I lean into it and exaggerate it Anyway, we all can learn, and we all can grow.

I thought I'd start making a list of my top 20 favorite movies and share with you all, but as I got started I couldn't stop and so I thought it'd be fun to just keep a rolling list of movies that are meaningful to me. This is what I hope to be a fairly unpretentious and honest listing of movies I love. Movies that stick out in my mind, that if they were on I'd stop and watch... movies that influenced me or made me think differently... some total embarrassing ones here and maybe surprising omissions... I may have some huge blind spots so if you see something missing that you just know I must love because I've talked about it endlessly let me know... Here's the list! Tim's Movies

Also, I've finally been finishing Twin Peaks: The Return and wow what a completely BAT SHIT FUCKED UP BANANAS RIDE OF OUTSIDER ART WITH A BUDGET that thing is! Holy cow! It's so fucking crazy. I don't know what the hell is going on and I don't care. It's funny and deeply unsettling - some of the effects are just so WRONG in the best possible way. What a late career masterwork from Lynch!
