Good morning everyone! Although we missed Doug badly, we had a great time. Always a joy to have Jay in the studio... Skinner was a blast, providing great laughter, heart and art! NOVELLER wow!!!

I have an exciting week coming up - Monday and Tuesday we're shooting S13 of On Cinema! yes folks we're back! LOTS in store this season. Can't wait!

Later in the week i'm getting together with the Very Good Band to run some new songs. I've piled up about 11 songs that feel worthy of recording... not sure what shape they're gonna take - about 4 of them came from playing in soundcheck and writing on the bus and backstage with Ellie's magic guitar... She brought a little practice acoustic, that just plays easy and there's something about it, as she says "there's a lot of songs in that guitar." And then a flurry came my way being home right after tour... there are a few that have a storytelling style, largely centering on post-apocalyptic life - some are more personal, and some are just fun - i don't know exactly how they'll all fit together but the first step is to get the band on them and see where it goes.

We're sifting through all the live recordings and seeing what we can do about some kind of live release of the best of the tour - lots to pick from and it's sounding good. Hope to have more on that soon. Here's a fun one from Toronto - our tribute to Canada's own The Band. I swear you'd think Robbie and Levon were up there with us... That's me on the piano and Vic on Acoustic and backing vocals. I got a bit overwhelmed with all the lyrics and piano playing, but still I think we got a nice sounding track out of it.
