I'm In A New York State of Mind

hey friends! Coming to LIVE from New York! Got in last night - smooth trip, except for a one piece of luggage that took an hour to arrive, but really, is that something to complain about? Staying in a little slice of NYC Heaven, on the edge of Park Slope where I'm a block or two away from a Joe's Pizza, a Bagel World, some nice restaurants, plenty of Bodegas... what more can a man need? Reunited with JP, Ellie and Catfish... Vic arrives tonight, and sadly Josh isn't on this run due to another gig booked long ago... we're rehearsing with a new drummer today... we comes with good references from The Lemon Twigs, so I'm feeling optimistic!

Felt a bit of cosmic love shine on my last night- we checked in, hungry as horses and I yelped and found an Italian place a few blocks away called Terra - We headed there and it was just perfect - an outdoor back patio with a very good looking menu, and they had a table for us - I asked for a wine list and, listen I don't know too much about wine, but since it was a very nice looking italian place I figured we should get some wine. I looked at the wine list and was stunned to see: a Brunello di Montalcino - It's the wine we drank most over in Tuscany when we were shooting the movie and it's really special. It's just really specific and goooood. It felt perfect considering it was the release day of Spin Me Round, and while I wasn't with my SMR family, they were there in the bottle. I nearly choked up when I took a sip. Sharing the wine with most of my new Very Good Band family, felt like connecting these two summers together... Two very special experiences.

Tomorrow we start the Bell House run... gonna be fun, setting up and then walking away and coming back every night without loading in and out. Can't wait to see you all! And see you Thursday for the Office Hours LIVE Experience . We got loads in store for you...
