Well! 2 shows in the books! We are off and running and let me tell you we hit the GROUND running, my friends. There are already several moments in the course of the show where i'd be happy to be permanently trapped inside of - specifically a few of the instrumental moments where our star pedal steel player Catfish Connor goes to town and sends literal warm honey through the monitors. Yow. Dangerously close to ORGASMIC, folks.
I enjoy the company of my band, they are all reasonable people! JP, our tour manager who you will know from JP, Inc and several Tim and Eric tours (the voice of "Chad from AEG:") is once again captaining this tour, keeping me safe and happy and I can't ask for anyone better. He's also working himself into the standup act as my arch nemesis.
My only worries are covid of course - gotta keep everyone healthy... and my voice, which really does quite a bit of heavy lifting throughout the night - I know what I gotta do to keep it in shape but it's a discipline that's not always fun.
Excited to do Office Hours FROM THE ROAD next week! I think we'll be somewhere in Southern Oregon, mostly likely at a dumpy motel... may not be scenic!
