It's Another Glorious Day In America

What a joke.  Incredible times we're living in here, folks.  Just a wild time to be alive, watching progress recede back towards a Fundamentalist Christian Totalitarian State. I'll give them this: they've worked hard on it. 40 years of organizing, mobilizing, fundraising... these people have their shit together, i can tell you that.  

I dunno folks. This just ain't working, is it? 

I've been to just about every state in this country and there sure are some beautiful parts, but I just don't know if we BELONG together anymore, ya know?  SCOTUS has said it's now up to the states to determine abortion policy, which you can now say about any fundamental human right, and so gay marriage is next. we know this. So the Fundamentalist Christian Totalitarians believe in two Americas...  See, the beauty of America is that your rights are protected under the US Constitution which means, even if you are living in a more repressive part of the country, your American citizenship trumps that. It keeps us strong and united and protects the most vulnerable, no matter where you live. Well, that's out the window now, everyone's on their own...  Women, Gays, Trans... make a run for the Northern states, or The West, if you can afford it. If you can't, well, good luck.    

Why are they doing it? Of course there are some dyed in the wool true believers out there who think they are saving million of babies and, hey I get it! I grew up in the Catholic church and it's a moral dilemma for many... but life is full of moral dilemmas and we make choices as a society.  Like I've said before, Abortion isn't murder, it's... Abortion! There's a name for it!  But, no, they're doing it for power of course. Power. They want it. Gotta have it. Gotta keep it. 

It's exhausting, it's infuriating and we're running out of time. They have us on the ropes folks, cuz I don't know if you looked at some OTHER pressing issues lately, but we should really be focused on, like, ummm, the uh.... let's see... oh: the fuckin climate crisis which is rapidly on pace to radically change our way of life, where we life, what we eat...  Instead we're fighting back trying to keep in place Women's Reproductive Rights, shit that's been pretty much a settled part of our society for some time (and a locked in, normal part of life for the rest of the developed world too, I might add)  

All this to say... What did you think of the new record?
