I Have Some Bad News

Well folks it was only a matter of time. 

I've done as much as I can to avoid it but as I've learned in my 46 years of walking around this planet there are just some things you simply cannot get out of. 

And for me it's: 

a cold. 

A minor one to be sure! And it's not covid. No friends, I tested NEGATIVE for that yesterday. CONCIERGE Testing Service (courtesy of a  job I'm doing later next week)  at my damn doorstep, swabbing my nose.... I was literally REGISTERING for their testing service ON MY PHONE, my friends.  She says: Did you register? me: no, i never received a link. She says: oh just scan this QR code... OK. And so I scan it and start FILLING THAT SHIT IN!!!! 

 No friends, I don't GET covid. It's not something I do. If you've had it,  I sympathize but (can i be honest? I also pity your weakness.  There, there... (pats head) 

But even I can't avoid the minor cold I'm suffering with at the moment.  stuffy nose? yup.  I got it. 

Will I take medicine? Another thing I've learned over my many years is: Medicine don't do shit. What am I gonna do? pop a couple of DAYQUILs which do NOTHING?  Oh,Tim, but what about that window of 20 minutes where your congestion is briefly cleared, but it also feels like you've swallowed 3 Keurig coffee pods?   No my friends, I will simply blow my nose like a man and suffer through this. 

Tim! How did you get this cold? From my daughter who got it from Ayden who got it from Max who got it from Courtney who got it from Theo who got from.... do you see what I'm trying to say? It's going around, ok? 

me this morning: "woe is me, I don't have it in my to write my popular #TimBlog" Actually, no. My actual attitude was: "dude, you got a cold. it sucks, no question about that. but does that mean you just get to GIVE UP? and GIVE IN? no - you sit down and get this done. It's what people need these days and you are going to give it to them as they have come to DEPEND on it.  

Will it get worse,  my cold? honestly? I don't think so. I'm going to  see how the day goes - maybe rest just a little bit and drink a shit load of water, dude. Do you think I don't know how to get through a cold? do you think a cold has stopped me before? If that's the case then my friends, you have ROCKS between your ears. 

I wish you nothing but health and happiness - do not worry about me. I will get through this.
