PPLIB Reunion - The Beatles: Get Back (Restored Version)

This is the restored version of the Please Please Let It Be episode about "The Beatles: Get Back" which includes a section that was missing from the live video stream (restored with audio only).

Tim Heidecker and Eric Notarnicola reunited for a very special episode of "Please Please Let It Be" to take a deep dive into The Beatles: Get Back. Thanks for all of you who joined us on zoom, and watch for surprise visits from PPLIB alumni John Levenstein and Mike Portnoy!

Please, Please Let It Be was a limited series podcast from Tim Heidecker and writer/director Eric Notarnicola (Mister America, Decker, On Cinema, Nathan For You, Who Is America) exploring the entire Beatles catalogue. Still available for Office Hours Live patreon subscribers in the post archives or subscribe to the full Office Hours archives via RSS to dig it.

Comments

The track wasn’t finished, Lennon’s bass playing being the most glaring example of that fact. It’s wild it was released as the final single, even with the Spector treatment.

Paul cited Spector’s treatment of “Long And Winding Road” as one of the reasons he wanted to dissolve the entire thing.
