Well! What a show what a show! not much to add that i haven't already said about Randy, but that's about as good as it gets, and went as well as I could have possibly hoped. I really did want to commit to the bit that I just didn't believe it was him and was ready to hang up on him, hoping he'd find it funny and use it as an entry into another more serious call, or a visit to the studio, but i couldn't resist, especially since Kurt was there, and he was such a massive fan as well. 

now i know there are people that can't get into him. I understand, it's not for everyone, but if you have some Randy curiosity you can start by checking out his twin masterpieces "Sail Away" and "Good Old Boys" - I really like "Bad Love" and you can also go down a youtube rabbit hole pretty quick of all his Letterman appearances. This one is particularly funny as hell. He gets funnier and more ambitious with age too. Check out this bit of INSANITY from a few years ago.   Oh and of course, Kurt Vile should get a mention here too... I can listen to Kurt any time, all the time... Bottle It In? please don't Kurt. Let it out, my brother. 

I tried to see through my Rats In The Bathtub... started out like a Randy song, but ended up like a mix between a basement tape and a Dave Edmonds kind of thing. Just a rough, fun one, I quickly whipped up with MIDI drums. I do like my bass playing on this! It was some sweaty fun!  I hope you enjoy it!
