hey gang! how are ya? Fun show! I love this new Superwolves record so much. Will is one of the great singers and writers... and Matt Sweeney? Living legends in my book! and good dudes, ta boot! In our Tuesday meeting I suggested we do something weird with those guys and pitched the stare down idea. I wrote Will to see if he was cool with that (knowing it was a pretty safe bet) - he said "does an Octopus eat water?"

I've just been listening to the new super box set reissue of Plastic Ono Band, easily one of my favorite records of all time... there's some true gold on this reissue! (it's on all the streaming services, don't ya know) About half way through there's a series of tracks listed as "Evolution Documentaries" where they've nicely edited together between song banter and false starts to capture how the song took shape. It's so great - John, Ringo and Klaus workin it out, and considering the HEAVINESS of the record, it's so cool to hear the lightness and kidding around thats going on between the grooves.

I also dipped in to the reissue of The Who Sell Out! Which sounds great too! What a fuckin masterpiece of fun that record is.

Oh and I'm really enjoying Flying Lotus' Yasuke! The soundtrack to his new Anime show for Netflix. Very moody, cool stuff. I wonder if I should try this Anime show. should I get into Anime? is that where I'm headed?
