Zoooooo

hey folks, sorry for the delay on my Saturday post, but spent the morning in Audio Book Hell! That's right, as I may have alluded I was asked to do the voice for the audio book for the Tiny Tim Biography, Eternal Troubadour... and it's HARD! As you may know, I am not the best reader! Some of my On Cinema flubbing comes natural to me and its never been more present than over the course of several hours, attempting to read a book out loud. Its interesting work, but you just have to get it all right. There's no room for stuttering, stammering, mispronouncing....  of course there's room for error, you just have to back up start from your most recent pause, and me and the director are finding a flow.. He's recording me remotely and I'm in the OHL studio... but it's tedious and takes a lot of focus.... and the book is long!  Oh well. It's an experience.

And then it was off to the zoo! Our first actual public outing, since, actually we went to the same zoo about a year ago!

I, as a woke man, have mixed feelings on the zoo. But I also have a 4 year old boy and the Zoo is pretty dang neat for him.  The highlight was  having a lunch break, with cotton candy as a treat after. Charlie delivered a perfect Brule style discussion on the subject:

Charlie: "Papa, why it’s called cotton candy?"

Me: "Well, it kind of looks like cotton."

He considers this for a while. and then:

“It’s hair but not like real hair, it’s like candy”

and then...

“You don’t even taste the hair part”

OK, dude. Enjoy the hair.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Peace and Love T

Did you know, Tim, that your son was quite right - the French word for cotton candy is 'barbe à papa'...literally, 'daddy's beard'. Yummy!

I'm putting a hit out: $500 gift certificate to 3 stooges coffee for anyone that finds the source of that 'Masageez' drop end my suffering
