Drawing Again

I got one of them apple pencils (well I got a new one, I had the first one and it was so annoying to use I stopped using it) but I got the new one which is a big improvement. I also got turned on to the Adobe Sketch app, which is like Procreate but, simplified and maybe a little more intuitive?

It's pretty fun. you can do layers so you can make lots of mistakes and just add a layer and redraw it... I was watching the finale of the (terrible!) show "Your Honor" and started sketching Brian Cranston... this is how bad the show is... we were watching the finale of the show and I started sketching!!! If you haven't seen it, I would not run to your remote... It's the equivalent of a trashy John Grisham novel... or those books your grandmom has stacked at her place in Florida. Just "whoodoneit" enough to keep watching... but everyone except Cranston was miscast (good actors too!) Even Cranston was odd, playing a character who is in too deep, doing the wrong thing for the right reason (hmmm, sound familiar?)

anyhoo. Me and the kids also watched the "Tom and Jerry" movie. Heh heh. Whatever, it was fine. They actually did a decent job of capturing the uber-violent slapstick between Thomas and Jerald (as Rob Delany's character calls them in the movie) But Colin Jost plays a semi sincere rich guy about to get married and I haven't wanted to shoot my TV with a pistol that badly since... let me tell ya folks... he don't got it.

I was great to give more time to the callers this week. We'll have to make sure we do that again soon!

That's about all I have to report for the time being. Doug is coming by later (I hope) to add one concrete step to the entrance to my garage - we're about to do a big re-jigger of the OHL Studio next week folks - we're gonna turn this little junky work room that sits in the front of the garage into a control room for wes and our new sound guy. who we won't have 6 guys all crammed into that little space. I'm excited!
