Added 2025-03-28 13:49:27 +0000 UTCScrew the Washington Monument. Forget the Lincoln Memorial. Continue to not know Sonny Bono Park exists. The REAL important place to visit is, clearly, Johnny's Quik Stop outside of Mineral, Va. Yes, we really did specifically make a point of revisiting THAT gas station again. The one I already wrote a whole blog post about. Now, I can't claim that we went "out of our way" to do so, because the whole reason we discovered this place was becasue it was already on our "for the love of God, stay away from I-95" route. But we really did specifically plot out our travel time, watching the weather and trying to avoid storms, entirely around swinging by this place on the way back. No regrets.
And that's FINALLY it for my Otakon 2024 content, and my convention trips in 2024 as a whole... but NOT for 2024 in general! believe it or not, I actually DO have some extra material in the works for that Suncoast trip, so keep an eye out for that in the future!
