The dub didn't lie to us this time, that really IS refered to as an "energy drink" even in the original episode (I think the bottle is supposed to resemble Oronamin C) ...but that didn't stop all us fans at the time making jokes about what the bottle "really" was.
Also, somebody looking at this is currently imagining a fanfic where Gatomon gets jealous over Wizardmon hanging out with Renamon. This is a thing I have put out into the world.
