...and this isn't even meant as a political joke, really, more of a general commentary on society as a whole.
A few weeks ago, I had the grave misfortune of being accidentally exposed to some political YouTubers. Who they were or what they were harping on about doesn't matter, and that's the whole point. Somehow, I had the epiphany that I could copy/paste their political buzzwords about things that actually matter with fluff about "Web3" and "Digital Ownership" and whatever, and the patterns of behavior would still totally fit. The same relentless show of enthusiasm, the same condescending dismissal of opposing viewpoints, the same gaslighting attempts to pressure others into getting on board in order to protect their own investments. And ever since, I haven't been able to unsee it! Man, I thought I was cynical before, but somehow people still manage to find new ways to disappoint me.
Actually, I was tempted to imply that was why this week's stuff went up late again, but then I realized there was a chance somebody would think I was serious. And that'd be a pretty lame thing for me to do.
