OctoFarm/OctoPrint vs Repetier
Added 2021-02-12 06:35:51 +0000 UTCI’ve been using Repetier for a long while and it’s definitely made my life easier running multiple machines down here and as my printer army grows I decided to weigh in the options again and see just what I’m missing when I left the open source world of Octoprint.
I will say that so far OctoFarm was the most diffuse setup I’ve had to do for anything 3D printer related because I’m not good with Linux or command line stuff and then OctoFarm just leaves you having after you finish installing it. Literally I had no idea what the next step was and I purposely didn’t watch or read anything on YouTube/interwebs so I could see what’s missing or not.
This will be more for fun as I continue to say that whatever works for you works for you and if you wanna run a Pi per printer, learn to make multiple installs of a service, or whatever it’s your choice. I just want to see if I’m truly missing anything from leaving the octoprint worlds few years back.
