A Prusa was born
Added 2021-01-21 06:54:27 +0000 UTCSure it doesn’t have all the same parts but it runs stock firmware and all the stock parts that I could print.
Definitely a painful build with one wrong Z motor stopping the first live stream and during this stream I found that the X axis rods were 3mm too long so I showed off my Dremel skills Live.
In the end I got the printer working, it’s perpendicular, everything seems sound, and most of all it works. Yes I said that twice but it’s nice when things work.
I’ve now moved my custom printer back on the test bench and am printing what I hope to be the last two parts so I can get it running before the weekend of all goes well.
