Alloy 910 & Buildtak observations
Added 2020-12-28 22:08:06 +0000 UTCOverhangs. Overhangs suck. Well... extreme ones. If I increase cooling it helps squat since too much cooling causes curling and so does too little. In the end not a product you want to use for anything over a 45 degree overhang.
Overall the material is very easy to print and it’s extremely durable. Videos incoming on its strength. Would I buy this again??? Nope. $80 a kg and the tolerances suck while not having a heat deflection temperature equal to ABS seems silly.
Who is this for? Need literally the most durable plastic thing ever that needs to be strong but not near heat? Alloy910. It makes Petg and ABS look silly in the strength category.
Buildtak Nylon??? Working awesome. It’s holding the prints as advertised and even when the print is done has plenty of grip using only 60C as the bed temp. Next up are some more difficult nylons but so far I’m impressed.
