Just a quick heads up (Far Out There stories)
Added 2024-06-23 07:35:12 +0000 UTCHeeeeeeeeey, you know that Far Out There story I started writing way back, like, a million years ago? Well, don't worry, anybody who's actually a high enough tier patron to read blog/article/story posts like that, this isn't me saying I'm abandoning it or anything. I really am still working on the next chapter. Still, in case it wasn't already obvious, it was kind of a MASSIVE mistake for me to try and dive right into a long-form, more-or-less novel length story idea as my first attempt at a Far Out There written spin off. I dunno if you've heard this, but writing books is a LOT harder than a single page comic! It would have been a much smarter idea to start writing one-off short stories instead... so I did! I've actually been having random ideas for quick little stories for ages now, but I wouldn't allow myself to take the time to write 'em while I still had other stuff to do. But of course, in a lesson I've already had to learn MANY times over already, telling myself No, you can't to that until you do THIS first" mostly just results in me not doing EITHER. So I just said "Screw it, I'll go ahead and write this story idea anyway" and managed to bash the whole thing out in one sitting. That'll teach me.
So, TL;DR I'm gonna randomly post Far Out There short stories that aren't a part of that longer Far Out There story I already started. That doesn't mean I'm ditching the longer story, just that I'm trying to avoid writer's block by doing whatever the motivation says, whenever it hits.
