Boy, this is already turning into an even bigger nostalgia journey than comics about a show from two decades ago would suggest, huh? Don't worry, they're not ALL gonna have an autobiographical bent like this. But still, you get what I mean, right? It's one thing to do a season of Digimon that showcases the products even more blatantly and literally than usual. It's a whole extra step to construct the show in such a way that the main character can basically be seen as an embodiment of she show's own fandom.
Oh, and remember what I was saying earlier about trying to keep the page numbers in sync with the episode numbers? Well, about that...
