...and seriously, even setting aside the overall seriousness and shift in tone, it's really amazing to me just how much the final installments of Gunbuster look like Evangelion in all the LITTLE things. I mean, it's technically the other way around, since Eva didn't exist yet, but you know what I mean. Just from looking at a few shots, it's incredibly obvious that this project has morphed into something different from what it was back in episode 1.
