Added 2023-12-29 18:59:55 +0000 UTCI mean, of all the shows out there, Macross is the one that could most get away with actually doing this for real, in-universe. I feel like it probably took some self-restraint on the part of the staff to not have the resolution of Minmay's plot arc being her singing somehow powering the ship. I mean, they already had Mari Iijima record a version of the closing theme that's in this episode, why NOT have her do the opening too?
Speaking of endings, I've still got ONE MORE COME to squeeze out of the final episode of Macross, and then we'll start with Dirty Pair. In the meantime, don't forget that there's a poll going to decide which classic season of Digimon I'll be looking at once I finish those bonus Gunbuster comics! So much anime going on in 2024!
