Granted, it does bug me that Kaijun's last scene is handled in a way to make it try to seem poignant and meaningful, instead of ACTUALLY kicking him to the curb like he deserves. That's not just because i don't like the character, either. I think it really underlines all the problems of Minmay as a character that, after everything, she STILL can't get herself together enough to tell the guy off as he goes. Compared to all the character development Misa gets during this last arc, Minmay REALLY comes across badly. I get that the staff were scrambling to stretch out their remaining ideas cover the extra episodes, but it doesn't change the fact that I can still really see why so many people don't like Minmay, given how she's written here.
