Added 2023-05-04 03:59:12 +0000 UTCI mean, I know they made A video game out of Macross, I actually own it. But it's just a standard shooter. The whole trackball control gimmick is just such an odd thing to work into the show if there's WASN'T a plan to make a game like this... because why on earth would you EVER design a control console that way otherwise?
...not but seriously, it continues to be fun just how much the crew of the SDF-1 are basically failing at everything. It takes so much more effort for the writers to come up with a workable plan, then come up with a reason why it'd weirdly malfunction, THEN make a whole second plan out of the wreckage of the first. I just think it's weird that their thought process would somehow end up at "what if the ship's shields were operated by a Marble Madness cabinet?"
