...and yeah, I know. ANOTHER comic about this stuff. Look, I'll stop calling the show out when it stops giving me stuff TO call it out on. But yeah, episode 10 is where we first meet Tomoyo's Mom AND learn the incredibly questionable nature of Sakura's parents' marriage, and come on, I can't just let that stuff slide without SOME kind of acknowledgement. That's is the kind of stuff people name new laws after, not the cute and harmless quirks of happy, healthy people. We're talking about an episode where an anthropomorphic greeting card buries an entire school in flower petals, and somehow THIS is the part I find unbelievable!

See, this is why I was homeschooled. My parents were worried about all the flower petal avalanches happening in public schools.

2021-06-03 16:48:35 +0000 UTCOK, OK, I admit I will have to at least partially retract some of my previous whining about how they edit these shows with a chainsaw for Western viewing. There may be a thing or two (or five or ten) that could safely be trimmed off here int he interest of reducing the creepiness factor a bit. (Although I do recall as a child when our school was buried in flower petals by an anthropomorphic greeting card. Took forever to clean that mess up. It happens more often than you might think! ;)
