Hey, quick apology. The permission issue was caused by AeLookupSvc being disabled.

Responding to Anotyx's comment (which was hidden by a comment filter I didn't know about and also prevents me from replying to it directly despite disabling the filter) - I will have to look at pehdr-lite. I haven't encountered such an issue on anything else.
I don't think it is feasible to disable Second System on child processes, especially when they are usually missing various dependencies and thus need it to run. I am taking steps to increase browser reliability, although I was certain that it was very high outside of the recent D3D11/DXGI changes that are currently being revised.
Unfortunately, Spotify remains a very unpredictible application, on Windows 8.1 specifically, often crashing after closing a . I'm not sure of its status on Windows 7 other than that several WinRT DLLs are used.
As for Discord's audio support, there is a requirement to use various WASAPI interfaces that were introduced in Windows 10 or later. I hope to extend WASAPI eventually.

Glgdriverquery is fixable by downloading and placing SDL2.dll into steam folder, but hw acceleration wil not work after that also

I also have an issue with games not displaying anything but a black screen with a cursor after upgrading to second system 2.4. Replacing dxgw and wd311 with their 2.3 counterparts makes games display again. The games I tried are 2236 A.D., Persona 5 Royal and Soul Hackers 2. 2236 A.D. works perfectly, like in 2.3 after the replacement. Persona 5 crashes with a d3d11.dll error on 2.3 and after the replacement on 2.4, but on 2.3 it plays a bit of the intro cinematic if I use dxvk instead, then crashes with no error. On 2.4 I also need to replace pwrs_k32 to restore 2.3 dxvk behaviour. Soul Hackers 2 plays a bit of the intro cinematic then crashes with a GameAssembly.dll error, but on 2.3 with dxvk it crashes at the title screen instead with a GameAssembly.dll error. On 2.4 it still crashes at the same point even with dxvk and replacing pwrs_k32 does not restore 2.3 behaviour. I am on windows 8.1 with I think August 2025 updates. Also with second system 2.4 launching steam happens in a "Not Responding" state, then steam web helper has to crash two times before it finally loads normally. In 2.3 it launched first time. Also, when launching steam gldriverquery.exe crashes every time I launch it. I don't think it affects functionality too much but maybe that's why steam disables hardware acceleration for me.

What happens if wd311.dll and dxgw.dll are replaced with their 2.3 equivalents?
And if not that, how about replacing pwrs_k32.dll with its 2.3 version (but in system32)? This should help identify the location of the problem.

Could you help me? Rocket league is working fine with second system 2.3, but gives communication error 0 on 2.4, any idea?

Many games that work on Windows 7 or 8.1 don't work on Vista even with the current version of Second System.
