Added 2019-06-18 22:16:44 +0000 UTCHey, so remember how I said that that last page with all the mechas in the bar was something I’d been saving to be the big finale but needed to go ahead and use the idea early? Well, I kind of sort of lied a bit about how “final” that finale would have been. I was also sitting on this little bit of silliness to use at the VERY end as the denouement for this whole series… but now I need to kick IT out early too. Don’t worry, it’s not that I’m OUT of Giant Gorg ideas, there’s at least three more comics floating around in the ether, but none of them are presentable yet. In fact, one of them is actually meant to be read in tandem with one of this year’s Animazement comics, so I can’t do it until I get more of THOSE done. Just another example of me making things more complicated than they need to be.
Speaking of complicated things, I had a bit of an internal debate over whether to say “Skipper” or “Captain.” The official subs say “Skipper,” but I guess “Captain” is the more literal translation, and waaaaay more of the internet seems to say that, since I guess it’s what the fansubs were. But hey, I’ve only ever seen the official translation, and that says “Skipper,” so here we are.
…and yeah, the Skipper is the manliest thing this side of Robert Roode’s moustache.
