Conventional Wisdom: Giant Gorg - page 4
Added 2019-03-01 00:29:02 +0000 UTCI snark, but I actually like how quickly the show moved past this moment. I see so many anime these days where all forward momentum grinds to a halt so that characters can spend multiple episodes moping through post-Evangelion breakdowns, it's very refreshing to go back and watch a show that remembers to actually have things HAPPEN. In fact, to be honest, this whole scene felt a bit perfunctory. Like, the staff got a note to include some more Gundam-ish War Is Hell moments, so they were like "Okay, fine, whatever, Yuu is shaken by the experience of having to shoot a guy in the shin in self defence because violence is scary OKAY MOMENT'S OVER NEXT EPISODE YUU AND AROI KILL THE EVERLOVIN' CRAP OUT OF A GIANT CAVE LIZARD!"
...also, it literally just now occurs to me that there's probably a Pokemon: The FIrst Movie joke to be made here. Oh well.
