So, I set a ground rule for myself not to do layers and layers of colors and screen tones and gradients in these comics. Some of that was just to make sure I actually got everything done on time (and that still only barely happened) but also because I really want to get Becky & Gilb into a state where I could print it at some point. I'm gonna have to completely re-draw the previous chapters to get the art even somewhat printable, so I made a point of restricting myself to much simpler effects to avoid that in THIS chapter. Alas, that also means that I couldn’t get anywhere near the atmospheric “neon green glow against the dark of night” look I otherwise would have wanted for this scene. Oh well.
