Apologies/Pre-Christmas Hype

Given how shaky the schedule for things has been so far, I probably COULD have allowed the latest lapse to just go without mention and I doubt anyone would really have noticed. BUT it’s Christmas and all, and actually that’s part of the problem right there. See, for those of you who remember, I promised you a big ol’ new chapter of Becky & Gilb as a Christmas treat, and it’s still coming! All SEVENTEEN PAGES OF IT. Yeah, that’s part of the reason I let those comics go dormant in the first place: the only logical next step was a loooong one. It’s all drawn and scanned (all thirty-three sheets of art), and since there’s (mostly) no text, the editing for each page involves WAY fewer steps than most of my other comics do, so it’s just a matter of finishing everything.

…but that “other comics” bit, that’s kind of a problem. After all, I’m still trying to wrap up twenty-five straight days of Far Out There comics, in full color (which takes a LOT longer than usual), but the other Voting Incentives and Conventional Wisdom filler and the Weekly Anime Comics for here and blah blah blah. Basically, something had to go on hold, and that ended up being the Anohana comics. Believe me, I REALLY hate putting the one thing that was still happing almost-regularly on hold for a few weeks, but look at it this way: YOU’RE GETTING SEVENTEEN COMICS THIS MONTH! Have I EVER dumped that much content onto Patreon in a single month? I know I haven’t in a single upate, THAT’S for sure. And it’s all for you, the paying customer, to have all for yourself! So you’re still getting SOMETHING for all your insanely generous, forgiving donations, right?

Don’t worry, though, I WILL be getting the rest of the Anohana comics done as soon as this crazy side project is done, so first week of January or so. There’s still plenty of time for me to have some artistic revelations that change everything, but I THINK there’s going to be another three or four pages coming. So, no Devil Is A Part-Timer situation this time. And hey! You’re getting a big ol’ batch of MAGFest comics next month too! How cool is THAT?
