Conventional Wisdom: Triad Anime Con 2016 - page 1
Added 2016-04-04 13:37:05 +0000 UTCWhat this page doesn't show (because it would involve me trying to draw even more cars, which I suck at) was how I tried to park, like, three times before I finally found the right lot for the hotel. I had good reason to be both late and frazzled.
That said, this still really through me off. I usually try to get to a con either the night before or REALLY early the day off so that I can wander around a bit and get the lay of the land. In case the whole "parking in the wrong place" part didn't tip you off, I get lost VERY easily, so it really helps to spend some time doing nothing but figuring out where things are. It's ESPECIALLY important in hotels like the ones Triad used, both of which are those "compact, middle of downtown" types where everything is stacked on top of itself and there's winding stairs everywhere. Even though they're both pretty tiny hotels, it's still easy to get turned around... if you're me. And not having that extra time to figure out where things were made it even weirder.
