December Update - Loyalty Reward Sneak Peek, Poll Results, Website Subscription + More!

LOYALTY REWARD

If you're in our Discord, you might have already seen some of this, but we're giving you guys a glimpse at the concept for our upcoming 12 month Loyalty Reward: A Modular Display Chess Set. Made with themes drawn from Tharador's own lore, this first set will pit the Human Coalition against the High Elves of Leacianus, with models from those themes fitted to chess plinths.

The idea behind it is an ongoing loyalty reward, where we'll continue releasing further themes for it in the future. Since it's modular, any number of themes can fit together as well, and with a hollowed interior for piece storage, it won't be too resin/filament intense either.

THEME POLL RESULTS

We're also publishing the results of our last strawpoll so you guys know what to expect in the coming months! It was an absolute nailbiter, but with them themes you guys voted for I honestly feel a very coherent campaign saga coming out of this.

3rd Place: Baldurian Inquisitors (Mage Hunters)

Release order, for the sake of a coherent saga and power scaling will be

February 2025: Artificers & Inventors

April 2025 (4 Year Anniversary Release): Grimdark Knights Pt II

Honestly, I am pretty excited by these releases and have already been planning out the models and stories for these months. The climax landing on our anniversary in April means you're all in store for an absolutely kickass pack that month as well.

If your theme didn't win, don't fret! We usually post a whole bunch of them in the next poll we do if they weren't too far behind 3rd place.

SUBSCRIBER FEEDBACK SURVEY

This one will get its own post in the near future so we can give you guys an easier way to take in the data, but there's a lot of helpful suggestions in there, and some genuinely interesting data. We'll do a few responses to some good bits of feedback when we break it down in its own post!

DMSTASH WEBSITE SUBSCRIPTION

I'm just making a tidbit about this as well as we've gotten a lot of messages about our website subscription. This will also get its own dedicated post, but I'll give you guys a quick breakdown of what's happening.

We have our own subscription on our website now

Why?

Patreon is forcing creators to drop monthly releases in favour of subscription billing, meaning people will get charged the date they subscribed on each month instead. This is obviously not prudent for creators like ourselves who give out monthly releases. Patreon is forcing this change in November 2025, but anything can happen between now and then. We won't be forcing anyone to change over. This is simply so if they stick to their guns we have an awesome platform everyone can move onto at that time.

Are you closing your other subs?

No. MMF Tribes will always stay open. Patreon will also stay open, at least until November 2025. We'd only close Patreon if they go through with that enforced change. If they don't we have no reason to close it.

When can I move over?

Anytime you want. Though we're planning to have a Migration Tool ready in the next 2 weeks or so.

What does the Migration Tool do?

In essence, it will allow you to transfer your tenure/loyalty to our website system, as well as sync your library for any months you've been subscribed on Patreon/Tribes. It won't be able to sync individual purchases (i.e. outright purchases of single models/packs) but any month you've been subscribed for, should be added to your library on our site. It won't require much work on your end either, just logging into Patreon/MMF to sync with our site so we can import your subscription library.

What does it do better ?

• Doesn't crash start of every month

• S3 Storage for lightning quick downloads

• Pause your subscription (skip a pack, don't lose loyalty tenure. Resume next month)

• Automatic Discounts

• Automatic Loyalty Rewards

• Custom Subscription Periods - Subscribe for 1/3/6/9/12 months at a time. Get all relevant loyalty rewards straight away. Scaling discounts depending on how long you choose to sub for.

• Welcome Stash & Loyalty Rewards automatically integrated into library

• Advanced Filters to search for products you own/vs products you don't

• Plans for customized loyalty rewards (choose a model/campaign you don't own as a loyalty reward every month)

• We have complete control over it (don't have to refer you to MMF/Patreon support if anything goes wrong)

What are its current limitations?

• Doesn't have Discord integration like Patreon does.

• Though it has a built-in newsfeed similar to Patreon/Tribes feed it's pretty basic right now.

• Doesn't have a proper onboarding set up for merchants yet.

• Stripe is currently the only payment processor (unsure if/when that will change)

• Won't be able to sync files from your website library to MMF library (unless we find a way to automate this)

Some of the above limitations we have plans on fixing or implementing. Some are probably beyond our scope for now.
