Future theme ideas

Hey everyone,

We're coming up with the moodboards and themes for the next community poll for future packs/themes! You guys voted for some absolutely awesome themes last time and I'm super happy with how all those packs turned out.

So now as we come to the end of the top themes from our last poll, we'll be getting ready to make a new one soon, but this time I thought I'd get a bit more input from you guys! So, in the comments, drop down any ideas you'd like us to consider to put in the poll! Something maybe we haven't thought of, or maybe a theme we haven't revisited for a while you'd like us to take a swing at again.

Super keen to hear everyone's ideas!

We're aiming for the actual poll to go live in the next 2 weeks, so keep an eye out for then :)

"A aztec gods campain"

victor garcia

im a bit late to the party here but an "untamed nature" theme, with various creatures being "corrupted" by vines, leaves, bushes, ect.

Tyler Eiseman

I absolutely love the idea! I also share the preference for one-shots over longer adventures with highly specific setups. Having a collection of drop-in encounters with miniatures and monster stats makes it incredibly convenient. It allows for seamless integration into existing adventures or having pre-printed one-shots ready to go for a casual game. It adds versatility and spontaneity to the tabletop experience. Looking forward to more of these bite-sized adventures!

Jon Bonfim

"A short story anthology." Instead of a full adventure, a small group of drop-in encounters that DMs can add to any adventure. Each with a miniature or two with monster stats and encounter parameters.

Hans Isaacson

A “beginning and end of campaign” release. Two of each character one young and eager with standard gear and the other one more experienced, hardened with better gear but still clearly the same person. Villains might be more difficult to do this way though.

Drew Anderson

A fae or eldritch tainted version of classic fairy tale tropes

Hans Isaacson

How about a wizard and/or sorcerers theme? With examples from all the major races. You can do a bigger one with a wizard in full action, with some cool magic effects!

Studio Ginart

Therianthrope theme Werecrocodiles, Weresharks, Werevipers ect. ect. Something that hasn't been done yet. I'm not 100% sure how you'd make it a theme but again it hasn't been done yet especially the werecrocodiles and werevipers

Kalib Dent

A Thieves Guild theme with multiple subclasses and races.

Hans Isaacson

I would love to see the theme of new adventurers continued. It's very hard to find simple minis that show someone just starting out. Also maybe versions of each race and gender by class as archtype miniatures

Grizzlann03

dinosaurs theme

Benjamin Melling

It's unorthodox and doesn't really fit into the realm of what's normally put out there, but I would love to see something that encompasses Greek mythology or Egyptian mythology. Don't know how you would do it but I think it would be great

FremForge

How about a thieves guild/Heist kind of game that involves a lot of subterfuge through a city with a ton of NPC's rather than big ol monsters (Maybe a big wurm in a vault at the end)

Phil H

Would love to see an Elemental collection, Something like Fire, water, earth and air Genasi type heros. Some boss types similar to the Elemental Prince of Good and evil types or just a different form/modified editions to elemental monsters since everything thats out there is really similar.

Rhys

Less common races in non stereotypical roles make super fun characters.

Carson Newlun

NPC children and teens and elderly and mums and dads with babies for different species dwarven elvish drow dragonkin etc mums with kids on backs and kids playing games both magical and normal maybe fantasy creatures as pets could be multi purpose to fill villages and scenes as there are few NPC that are happy and dynamically posed

Suzie Q Dragonkin33

I need peasants. Peasant militias, uprising peasants, fighting peasants, DEAD peasants, DEAD NPCs and villagers. City/Town guards alive and DEAD. We need corpses. Lots of corpses.

Tim Layne

I hope you continue the campaign so players can reach level 20!

Joz M

There been any Lich? Cool minions like flesh golems?

Trenten Myers

Warforge it up

Trenten Myers

Yes, break the stereotypes. Where my orc wizards at?

Trenten Myers

in non stereotypical roles, Dragonborn casters as an example

howard coates

+1 for gnolls, hobgoblins, orcs, etc.

Laser Tek Creations

I'd love to see a path of the giant barbarian theme. These barbarians get larger every time they rage. From Medium to large and then at lvl 16 huge creatures I' d love to see a transformative set like that. I have a Dragonborne Path of the Giant now, in his large form he becomes more feral and in his huge form he'll drop to all fours and wield his sword in his mouth. So a cross between a dragon, the hulk and the wolf from Dark Souls.

Paul Cacicedo

This is a little far fetched but hear me out…. Undead Party - BBEG killed the heroes and made them undead and uses them for his bidding but the gods wanted to give them one last chance as the BBEG was close to becoming a God - so his control over them broke the party had the resistances/weaknesses of undead but had their class stats and abilities back. Undead Wizard, Rogue, Barbarian, warlock/sorcerer different races. Would be a great one shot with a very peculiar and fun twist that hardly anyone would have played before.

Karl Doherty

Be cool to do a theme based on exploring a town. So you’ll have lots of npc characters doing Townly things. A traveling merchant possibly.

Luke

NPC pack that isnt monsters

Evan Gale

Viking style would be cool

Rebecca Thibault

Perhaps class themes like Druids, Rangers, Rogues, Priests, etc. featuring different races. I would like to see a half hero half villain ratio if possible.

Jason York

My wife is Thai, the Thai art is amazing! The demons and monsters and heroes from Thailand would be amazing! Mounted war elephants, Thai monkey demons, serpents buddah, monks, martial artists, armoured warriors and female Thai dancers, blow dart and short recurved bowmen.

Jay Peake

Some of the less common playable races would be cool. Aarakocra, genasi, kenku, eladrin, or warforged. Honestly a theme around any unique race would be awesome.

Carson Newlun

City of Brass. Efreeti, flame salamanders, fire elemental, and azer. Could start a inner elemental plane series.

Randall Goeth

Zerg/Tyranid type aliens that would crash onto the world via a meteor. Something Adventurers would have to investigate, contain, and exterminate

Randall Goeth

My vote would be for some gnomes, halflings and dwarves.

David C

Full dragon theme. Undead dragon? Undead dragon warriors?

Ranger565

Some undead maybe mixed with liches a la red Wizards of that would be awesome or maybe some dragon themed cultist, mages etc

Nomaris

I'd love to see some Githyanki and Githzerai, maybe some astral-sea and flying ship themed terrain. Throw in some new mind flayers for good measure!

Aiden Kelleher

I would love to see a Mech Warrior theme, as I remember playing the game when I was younger and it would be really good to see that as miniature set and maybe something that comes as a complete mini game, with rules Etc.

James Linnett

I have a distinct lack of gnomes and halflings in my miniature drawers!

Ben Mullins

Always a big fan of everything related to dwarfs, lizardmen, foxfolk, rabbitfolk

SBMiniatures

I LOVE that show, so few people know it.

Damien Hallwood

I'd love to see a theme around one of the lesser represented Demon Lords. Deception and gargoyles for Fraz Urb'luu, Beasts of the hunt for Baphomet, Slime and Oozes for Juiblex etc.

Damien Hallwood

Tortles? Ratfolk? Companion beasts and familiars? Hags?

Saul Stevens

I also notice there aren't much for kenku! unless I missed one

Clay

Would love to see a Firbolg and gnome pack.

Sean Mallow

I’ve always been a big fan of Dino-riders (the tv show) as a kid, maybe something in that direction? I know it’s more futuristic/cyber-ish but it might spark some nice ideas 😄

Mathijs Blokland

Classic creatures for random encounters

Pete

Watch this space for a sneak peek next week!

DM Stash

Very excited!!

JRS tales

Definitely would like to do a future Orc pack thats way more focused on the orcs themselves in the theme!

DM Stash

Was that you in the Discord asking about them yesterday? 😂

DM Stash

Yeah last eastern theme was pretty acutely Japan focused on the back of me returning from a Japanese holiday lol. If we do another I'd like to explore more South East Asian myths

DM Stash

Been a while since we have done a pack focused on em!

DM Stash

Always wanted to do them! They never seem to do great in polls but im determined 😂😅

DM Stash

Youll be in for a treat next month 👀

DM Stash

Eastern themed but more varied than samurai and oni. There's alot of different looks and classes that could be covered for characters especially if you look outside of just japan and there are alot of really cool monsters in the different mythologies.

Maralithe

I love moon themed creatures/characters. Perhaps some dryads/treats?

JRS tales

Maybe elementals

Zeke Pritchett

Leonin wizards!

Nick Jones

Ratfolk or Gnolls? Eldritch touched abominations?

Divinity711 Hernandez

Genasi

Zeke Pritchett

Nurglings or some sort of imp servants type things

Gary Foster

more orcs?

Clay

Snake People - Yuan-Ti Abominations
