GAW Phase 2 Closed Alpha Is Ready!
Added 2018-09-25 01:31:56 +0000 UTCHey guys, we're super stoked to be able to invite you to the alpha version of GAW phase 2! For one week we will be giving you guys a sneak peek into the new phase for GAW so we can get it ready for public consumption!
The mission picks up where we left off at Maykop airport as our new home. The overall flow of the mission will be exactly the same, there are 4 warehouses that must be captured to ensure that there are steady supplies to Maykop, the AI commander has a few new tools but overall works mostly the same, but the biggest change is that phase 2 is relatively MASSIVE compared to phase 1. There's 7 airports to capture, several new strike targets, lots of action at the southern coast, the central mountains, and the northern flatlands. The end objective is similar to phase 1 except there are two airports to capture, Sukhumi, and Beslan.
Now, this is an alpha release, there will be bugs, restarts, things that are broken, and some things that might just not be well thought out. The scope and scale of the final product might expand or contract depending on how well the mission performs and the stability we achieve. Also note that this server will not run 24/7 yet, we'll try to keep it up as long as practical, but this is an hourly server for the moment that costs a lot of the funds you guys provide to run. Please use the #supporters or #georgia-at-war channels in Discord to discuss these issues throughout the alpha.
Coming soon there will be some barebones documentation, but for now just feel your away around with the F10 menu and the spectator map and check out the new digs!
