As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time for my last monthly update of this year! Over the past few weeks, quite a lot has happened, and I’m excited to give you an overview of the latest developments and the current status.
The release of version 2.13.0 was a major milestone. It’s one of the most significant updates we’ve ever published, with numerous new features and improvements. Check out the changelog if you’d like to read all the details.
Shortly after, we released v2.13.1. This update fixed a bug affecting older versions of camera-streamer, which is a widely used version by many users. Additionally, I completed the German translations.
I’m currently working on version 2.13.2, another bugfix release that will be finalized and published in just a few days. Here’s a brief list of the issues we’re addressing:
Editor: Fixed a display issue when the sidebar was longer than the file content.
Dashboard: Fixed an issue when you started GCode files in subdirectories via the dashboard.
Z-Tilt: The Z-Tilt button for z_tilt_ng by Kalico (formerly danger-klipper) now works as expected.
Translations: Additional translations have been completed.
The changes are currently under review by the crew, and if no new bugs are found, the release will go live immediately.
Another topic is the SGP40 pull request for mainline Klipper. I’ve had discussions with Kevin and other contributors, and I’ll be integrating the required pip library directly into the Klipper module. This makes the pull request more compact and removes dependencies on external sources.
After a stressful period in my daily work life, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon, I’ll have more time to focus intensively on Mainsail and implement new ideas. I’m looking forward to starting the new year with fresh energy!
Thank you for accompanying me on this journey. Your support is a massive motivation for me, and I’m excited to achieve great things with you in 2025.
Have a great start to the new year!
