Welcome to our monthly update! This month we started with a complex upgrade of Crowsnest. The upgrade from v3 to v4 was much more complicated than expected. That's why we then tried to extend the docs as well as possible, and Kwadfan is still working on making the update process easier + adding better and more error messages in Crowsnest.
With the new version of Crewsnest, we added the streamer camera-streamer with WebRTC suppport and tried to switch as well as possible from the legacy MMAL webcam interface to libcamera. This is also a preparation for the next Debian release (Bookworm). In the next Debian release, only libcamera should be available anymore.
Afterward, I visited the maker faire Vienna and talked to a Prusa employee about a PR for PrusaSlicer. In the next PrusaSlicer release, there will be the possibility to send gcodes directly to Moonraker. With this, the octoprint_compat component of Moonraker is ob solvent.
After the maker faire Vienna, I went straight to Karlsruhe for the GPN21 event, where I had the opportunity to talk with foosel, aka Gina Häußge (OctoPrint maintainer), for several hours. This meeting was very informative and interesting for me. (here some pictures of it: https://chaos.social/@foosel/110516101707045461)

Current/Open Tasks
I will reschedule the maintenance work feature to the next release and release v2.6.0 in the next few days. There will be only tiny things to do for it.
Best regards,
