July 2021 - Pack Theme Poll!

Thanks for the feedback Vesparo! Some of the aforementioned packs take inspiration from existing modules, though we do like to keep our own creations mostly original. That being said there is intention for these minis to be usable for actual 5E monsters, be they from campaign modules or Monster Manual etc. We will look to make a more active effort in future to have these models transferable for other potential creatures and modules, while still retaining originality :)

DM Stash

I subscribe to a lot of STL patreons and will inevitably end up with a lot of repeats. What I would really like to see is a specific focus upon one of the best Modules, even if it was just sort of in the background given that you are publishing your own modules. Something like saying over the course of a year we will produce every mini you need to run the Age of Worms Adventure Path, or one of the classic Adventure Paths mentioned above. I think that would make a great incentive for subscribers to stick around long term.

Hi Raven, Thanks for the comment and feedback - to be honest it is something we have planned on the horizon and something we wanted to do from the start but ultimately decided against as we wanted to get our foot in the door with a bunch of unique themes and minis before moving onto an ongoing story. We would also want to have more people on board so they can experience the story from the start, and not feel discouraged from jumping in midway through. That being said the campaigns at the moment all revolve around a singular war, and how that has affected the whole continent even past those directly involved in the war. So it is definitely something we have planned for the future. Exactly when we aren't sure yet. It is perhaps a Patron milestone that we would jump into, or after a certain number of releases. Whatever it is we'll be sure to make a big announcement for it and keep with unique themed minis to accompany with those packs. That being said we could also drive in a hook to future campaigns as a means of connection. We can have June/July tie into each other and keep a singular hook going from now moving forward until that story/plotline runs out of steam or level caps, then restart with a low level adventure and set to build a new 12 month release cycle.

DM Stash

A small comment from myself, just a small view, there is many patreons around and growing in numbers based around monthly release of Theme's, which while it can be a good idea, it is also something often repeated. For me it has to be something "different" that will bring in the numbers for growth. The name is DM Stash, you started the idea with the an adventure and models to go with it. For me it should possibly go one step further to ensure it is more stand out, All dungeon masters run a campaign, with each adventure leading on from the last, so maybe a suggestion is to do the same with the releases? I think of the examples first given us by TSR in the start of the adventures they published; A1 Slave Pits of the Undercity A2 Secret of the Slavers Stockade A3 Assault on the Aerie of the Slave Lords A4 In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords Which was then followed by G1, Steading of the Hill Giant Chief; G2, Glacial Rift of the Frost Giant Jarl G3, Hall of the Fire Giant King then...... D1, Descent into the Depths of the Earth D2, Shrine of the Kuo-Toa D3, Vault of the Drow finishing with Q1, Queen of the Demonweb Pits If we converted, this into monthly releases (For example) Month 1 - Low level adventurers and some thieves Month 2 - Slavers and Goblin and orc retainers and prisoner NPC's etc Month 3 - Pirates and their associated stockade troops Month 4 - Dungeon monsters and the big boss Month 5 - Mid level adventurers, ogres and a hill giant boss Month 6 - Winter wolves, etc and a frost giant Month 7 - Into the fire giants, fire creatures and fire giant Month 8 - High level adventurers (higher version of month 1) cave bears and bats etc that inhabit tunnels. Month 9 - Kuo Toa of course would be this month's theme Month 10 - The drow Month 11 - Striders spiders queen and the rest,,,, A whole year nearly just based on the adventures and several could have spread over a couple of months. This is an example of the Greyhawk campaign converted into a monthly adventure, each leading on from one to another, each adventure was from TSR a 32 page (or 16 or 64) adventure which would take 3-4 weeks of normal roleplay to complete (1x per week for a few hours each session). This would mean that by the time of next release players / DM's etc are ready for the next release. So my suggestion is do you have a campaign in mind and run it from month to month with hooks to lead onto the next adventure.... Of the above I picked the magical university as this is not something I have seen so often on other Patreons.
