I like to call this episode the angst hour one XD This one was great for plot developpement, regarding the band members and their motivation to give everything to the Hot Wave contest. Previous episode realli highlighted their lack of discipline and organisation when it came to practice for the competition. They definitely don't lack passion or talent, but they needed that boost (Sound) to put things into motion. Of course, real life problems come in the way of dreams and I love that they added this part of realism which is sometimes lacking in teen dramas or shows about highschool students. Love that we got some focus on other members of the band. Por being one my favorite from Chinzhilla, loved to see him have a side story this episode. The ending feels like a musical with an ensemble number and everyone gathering together by the end to face what's to come together. It also really highlights the friendship, because they're not just band members, they're close friends and you can really feel that in this episode. Gun's mom is honestly my fave from all dramas I've watched so far. The mother-son relationship of these two is so wholesome. Gun wanting to take care of her. The mom being so supportive. Up to this episode, it's not mentioned that Gun's dad died. It was implied he wasn't there anymore but there was no explaination. I teared up when Gun tells Tinn about his dad. That mini interview is such a perfect scene with the perfect balance between lighthearted and more serious. Also, Gun getting shy and flustered when Tinn asks about the no dating rule and if Gun already likes someone. Tinn is honestly the most caring not boyfriend to Gun, the way he helped him this episode, was there for him when Gun felt so dejected. And it's great to see how Gun is really opening up to him, being vulnerable with him. I'm not a fan of the rap battle. But I love the back and forth, bickering between Sound and Win :D Loved your reactions each time Win got all riled up while Sound barely said anything XD I can't wait for you to see more of them in episode 6!! Tiwson, always the best Tinn Gun supporter, and now he even helped Por with his wise advice :D Also, started to ship Tiwson and Por this episode (they were so popular on twitter, despite Mark saying there was nothing to ship XD, Ford on the other hand was just encouraging the fans :D) Gun naming Tinn's contact "School President dude" was funny, I think in Thai it's a bit different but can't remember. Can't wait to see your reaction to how Tinn named Gun's contact in his phone :) That last scene by the pool is so cute. There were two teams of fans after that sene, the ones who firmly believed Gun didn't get it at all and those who had hope he understood that Tinn meant him. I was in the second one because Gun showed he can have wise moments too. Sorry, the comment is getting too long, I just really enjoy these reactions and reliving the fun of this series (I still miss it...) so I tend to be really chatty about it lol.

2023-06-26 16:51:13 +0000 UTCYes, you read someone's mention of I Told Sunset About You at the end of the ep, and I think you would definitely like that one! It's probably most similar to MLC out of the shows you've watched so far considering its amazing acting and soundtrack, and most particularly its gorgeous cinematography. It's my #1 show followed my MSP and MLC so I highly recommend it! But anyway, back to My School President - this episode was the 1st one to give quite a bit of time and development to the other band members, and I'm so glad it did. Like you said, the show could have easily had the band be a side plot or have it be background noise for Tinn and Gun's romance, but it's not, and I think this episode along with ep 4 solidifies that for the show going forward. My favourite scene in this ep aside from the song is definitely Tinn's little interview with Gun where he opens up about him following his parents dream. This show has a surprising amount of really good conversations considering its generally lighthearted vibe, which I absolutely love!
