2023-06-18 17:30:52 +0000 UTCyou wondered about whether the kids were the same as in A Tale of Thousand Stars, and you might have realised it later on but no, they're not. they're different kids with different names. but aside from the fact that they probably couldn't get all actors from the original series to appear here again (ex. the original kids, the doctor (who's mentioned but not seen), the village chief and his son, etc.), I think it also makes sense for some of them not to appear since these crossover episodes are set at least 5 years after the main story of ATOTS. the series itself had a 2 year timeskip in the end, and Tian mentioned Chief not coming to Bangkok with him for his birthday multiple times in a row, so quite a bit of time has passed. the kids from the original series would probably be in their late teens by now, and the kids Tian's currently teaching were probably a bit young to attend school like that in the original series, so it makes sense in canon too which I like... with maybe the exception of Drake's character, but I'm just gonna pretend his two characters are lookalikes and that Rang was temporarily stationed somewhere else when Pran and Pat was up there haha

2023-06-17 03:31:08 +0000 UTCThis crossover really works so well. I love how both strange and yet natural it feels to see these 4 interact with one another. The fact that both series were directed by P'Aof and that he's directing their Our Skyy episodes, you can feel that he loves these characters a lot and wanted to give them a good story with nostalgic moments for both couples. You probably didn't catch it but Tian is using the inhaler that was advertised on Bad Buddy to ake up Chief after he fainted XD When I caught that detail on second rewatch, I laughed so hard. The way Tian looks jealous when the kids say Pran is Chief's boyfriend XD oh boy... You did pick up of the use of the musics from both series. It's so well done honestly. I'm a sucker for great use of music and the blend between both ost is done really well in this episode. I adore that they used 'Secret' in the karaoke scene. In Bad Buddy we heard it the first time when they were at the eco village in episode 6 and then later in episode 8 after the cute window scene when Pran cheered up Pat. And the lyrics work well with Phupha and Tian's disagreement lol There's another song, which is new and sung by Ohm (Pat) calle 'My Word', you can hear it when they play at the waterfall. The lyrics are actually a reference and answer to Pran's song in episode 11 'Our song'. You should definitely check the full song on Youtube (the video doesn't have any spoilers further than the 2 episodes you've already watched). Pran and Pat's dynamic, bickering (like an old married couple, let's be honest), is always so fun to watch. And then we have the quieter moments, like when they're about to sleep, and you can see that they love each other so much. Of course, they're also horny freaks (especially Pat in that scene XD). When you said 'Poor Tian' I laughed. But the house seems to have surivived since we see it later on, still intact. Chief and Tian walking drunk, the way it's filmed gave me flashbacks to episode 1 of Moonlight Chicken. The camera angle is so similar and so are their expressions. Tian and Chief's argument is funny too, with the back and fourth and poor Pran having to listen to them... Chief and Pat XD These two are so entertaining to watch together. The way Pat challenged him and Yod cheering them on, so funny. And the morning after scene XD First of all, Pat asking for scores after sexy times (just like Pran did in episode 11), their 'oh shit' reaction when they woke up and saw who was next to them, the checking if they still had pants on XD Also Pat giving one of Tian's most famous lines "I'm not your wife" XD I gasped so loud when Pran nearly fell backwards... (damn P'aof, this was almost like Pat getting shot all over again....), should have known we'd get some drama... Pat finding the watch... on my many rewatches of Bad Buddy, each time I notice new details about that watch so this made me really emotional... You made a really good guess about something that will happen later. Can't wait for you to see it. Looking forward to the next reaction :)
