Do you use an ad blocker?

I use Google Analytics to get an idea of which premium tools are the most popular, and want to get an idea of how much usage won’t appear in the usage reports (ad blockers block Google Analytics).

This is totally anecdotal and I think Brandon's post below may be making the point in a more knowledgeable way.

2025-01-04 13:33:23 +0000 UTCFwiw I used to have to download and install them. These days I haven't done so, but I've noticed on Edge and I believe Chrome there seems to be an ad blocker feature built in (i.e. I have to manually allow popups, etc.).

2025-01-04 13:31:08 +0000 UTCYeah, I need to look into it more myself. Usage and subscribers for the websites are at an all time high (by a fair margin), but Google Analytics is showing lower numbers, so I’m not sure whether more people are using ad blockers or tracking has changed.

2025-01-04 01:57:57 +0000 UTCSeems like it might be worth asking about browser variants too since ad blockers on Chrome & Edge have changed drastically recently. I haven't looked very closely at the new "Light" version of uBlock Origin to know whether it still affects Google Analytics though.
