Black Screen Bug
Added 2024-11-25 18:21:11 +0000 UTCWe've had reports of the screen staying black when the game is first opened and that it is not reaching the main menu. This is due to the game loading all the assets in, however, this can be very slow on a first boot and with zero feedback from the game I see how this is confusing. If your PC specs are not strong enough, you may never get to see the main menu!
We will look into adding a loading screen for when the game first boots up BUT we're also working on a large patch that will optimise the game and I'm hoping that lower spec pcs will be able to load the game
We are about to launch Billie version 4. This is a complete rework of the previous version of Billie. She was built from the ground up and not only puts a higher focus on animation, but she is optimised and practically bug free! (I'm sure some of you will find some bugs, but they'll be much easier to fix with the new code)
Billie version 3 will be deleted from the game completely. One of the issues with the old Billie was she was loading up 5GB of data at launch, we are now down to 2.1GB and will soon have that even lower once she is completely removed from the project (she has references everywhere that need to be unpicked)

BBU deves I have a problem I dont know If it is my pc but I have my BBU settings at the lowest and I'm still caping at 8fps just in the test map pls help

2024-12-11 18:55:37 +0000 UTCI was looking in the game folders and it turns out that there is a folder with cutscene files. The file corresponding to the end of Barnaby's chase isn't right, so I downloaded the chase from a YouTube video and edited it to pick just the ending, then I saved it as an MP4 and put it in the folder. If you want to do this too, just go to "Billie Bust Up Playtest\BillieBustUp\Content\Movies\Cutscenes\GrimGrinningGoats\GWTDEnd" and replace the "GruseomeWaysToDieEnd.mp4" with a new one

Any help or suggestions? I’m playing on a Windows 11 that I’ve got recently, I’m not sure if it’s my computer or just a bug

I can't get the full demo because it says the file is too big. But when you made the update for the orchestra Barnaby boss fight, it gave me the ability to play the Barnaby boss fight. So I am kinda now hoping you do an update to the Fantoccio boss fight so I could play it. Like the update you did for Barnaby's boss fight. But you don't have to do it. I don't want to put too much work on your team. And good luck.

2024-11-25 19:12:51 +0000 UTCform says I don't have permission, I am using a core i7 3320m 16 gb ddr3 ram, 256 gb sata 2.5 ssd and intel HD 4000 integrated graphics with no dedicated graphics, I also face visual bugs in the chase, where electricity and dynamite glitches out and messes up the screen, but I attributed that to having no dedicated graphics

2024-11-25 18:38:14 +0000 UTCThe black screen thing also happens when you beat the chase with the ghost owl. I can't remember his name right now. Barnaby, I think. It's happened to me and a few others. Where once you go through the song it turns to a black screen instead of playing the cut scene where Billie bust out of the window. And it stays on that black screen until you tell it to go to main menu. I didn't realize it was part of a bug. I just thought maybe you guys were fine tuning the cut scene and didn't want to show it.
